Since the XVIII century, a unique oenological culture has been consolidated in the territory, first thanks to the Academies founded by the Venetian Republic of Serenissima and then thanks to over two thousand years of history, the presence of one of the best oenological schools of Italy, great wine experts and skilled technicians of the Experimental Institute of Conegliano, the work of outstanding masters such as Peter Caronella, Francesco Gera, Father Felice Benedetti, Antonio Carpenè, Arturo Marescalchi, Giovanni Dalmasso, Luigi Luzzati, Giovan Battista Cerletti, Luigi Manzoni,and Tullio De Rosa.

Gradually, this culture, which resulted in the study and knowledge of land, of the various grape varieties, of the production techniques, both in the field and in the wine cellar, of the ways to treat diseases of the vine and wine, how to keep healthy cellars, has been spreading in the countryside, promoting an increasing knowledge of the world of wine and its production.

Today, in every winery, talented oenologists support grape growers, who sometimes are oenologists themselves, hence boosting the unique wine culture of the area and the result is the production of top quality wines.
